Professional Experiences:   

         1970-1975:  Started writing grants in support of my personal and professional goals as a Political Science faculty member, Yakima Valley Community College (WA);            

         1975-1981:  Chief Development Officer for Yakima Valley Community College (WA), started the college foundation and received more than twenty federal and state grants;

        1981-1986:  Taught Grant Writing Workshops throughout the United States in addition to my teaching while at Yakima Valley Community College, received National Endowment for the Humanities grant to attend the University of Virginia, summer of 1981;

        1986-1993:  Wrote and participated in grants while Dean for the Social Sciences and Early Childhood Education Center at Mt. Hood Community College (OR), including a Fulbright-Hayes Summer Abroad Study program in Costa Rica and an Indonesian Training grant; 

        1993-1995:  Wrote and participated in grants while Vice President of Instruction at Shasta Community College (CA);

        1996-2000:  Assistant to the President for Grants and Research, a new office, Shasta Community College (CA), including Title III, TRIO, CA CC state vocational funding, and several telecommunications grants;

        2000-2004: Wrote and participated in grants while on the faculty at Shasta Community College in support of my personal and professional goals (CA), including online instruction grants;

        2004-Present:  Retired to Arizona. Active in grant writing, research, proposal development, grant evaluation, and grant writing training as a self-employed consultant.

         Reader: National Science Foundation and Department of Education.

          United States Navy, Interior Communications Electrician (E-5), Honorable Discharge, 4/1957 - 1/1961;

        United Air Lines, Jet Aircraft Mechanic and Production Scheduler, 1/1962 – 9/1968.
